Mastitis is the most costly infectious disease on U. An optimum treatment regimen for clinical mastitis has not been established, and several regimens are often employed in a single herd, depending on the severity of clinical signs. Treatment typically includes intramammary or injectable antibiotics, and these are often administered in an extra-label fashion meaning that they are used at a shorter or longer interval, for a longer duration, or for a different pathogen than indicated on the label, or that the antibiotic is not labelled for treatment of mastitis or for use in lactating dairy cows. Limited documentation of the cost effectiveness of extra-label antibiotic use for environmental mastitis, and concern about antibiotic residues in milk and meat, have led some producers to abandon antibiotics in favor of supportive treatment measures. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of an extra-label antibiotic treatment regimen for clinical mastitis caused by environmental pathogens.

For how small my seal was, the finished piece was fairly detailed but you could still see tooling marks on it from the drill bit used.
